Hannah's Socks • warm feet, warm hearts

The Hannah's Socks Volunteer of the Month Award is given to a person who best reflects the generous spirit of Hannah Turner by donating those most valuable of gifts — time and energy — in support of the Hannah's Socks cause.

We'd like to congratulate the winner for March 2009, Lisa Hohenberger of Toledo, Ohio.

Lisa's contributions include:

• Helping lead the Hannah's Socks team Saturdays in Downtown Toledo, week in and week out, as we distribute socks and other clothing essentials to those in need
• Setting an amazing example for fellow volunteers with her willingness to not just give things, but to give company, compassion and friendship to people we serve
• Encouraging friends and family to join her in the rewarding experience of volunteering
• Diligently sharing her inspiring experiences in a weekly online diary
