Hannah's Socks • warm feet, warm hearts

The Hannah's Socks Volunteer of the Month Award is given to a person who best reflects the generous spirit of Hannah Turner by donating those most valuable of gifts — time and energy — in support of the Hannah's Socks cause.

We'd like to congratulate the winner for June 2009, Kira Maloy of Toledo, Ohio.

Kira's contributions include:

• Regularly helping hand out socks Saturdays at the Downtown Toledo Library
• Hand-knitting beautiful scarves, hats, mittens and (of course) socks to donate to our cause
• Convincing Meijer to donate 1,500 plastic shopping bags to help our work at the library
• Generously donating more than 170 pairs of undergarments, more than 200 pairs of socks, and more than 60 undershirts recently
