Hannah's Socks • warm feet, warm hearts

The Hannah's Socks Volunteer of the Month Award is given to a person who best reflects the generous spirit of Hannah Turner by donating those most valuable of gifts — time and energy — in support of the Hannah's Socks cause.

We'd like to congratulate the winner for January 2009, Shelly Konz of Perrysburg, Ohio.

Shelly's contributions include:

• Regularly volunteering with us Saturdays at the Downtown Toledo Library
• Recruiting additional businesses to help at the library (especially early on when we were desperate for help)
• Landing a speaking engagement for one of our co-founders, where we were able to collect a significant amount of donations
• Being consistently available just about any time we need a hand
