Hannah's Socks • warm feet, warm hearts

The Hannah's Socks Volunteer of the Month Award is given to a person who best reflects the generous spirit of Hannah Turner by donating those most valuable of gifts — time and energy — in support of the Hannah's Socks cause.

We'd like to congratulate the winner for February 2009, Alisa Cummins of Cincinnati, Ohio.

Alisa's contributions include:

• Researching and launching a direct-mail campaign to engage local churches in Sock Drives
• Making time once a week to take sock deliveries to our Cincinnati-area partner shelters
• Recruiting several Southwest Ohio schools as well as two local businesses to collect donations
• Helping share Hannah's Story with local news reporters
• Overseeing sock counting, sorting, and distribution-preparation for her region
