Hannah's Socks • warm feet, warm hearts

Perrysburg students, teachers and paraprofessionals continue to amaze me! Under the guidance of Ms. Lisa and Ms. Gail, Toth Elementary pre-schoolers — children as young as three years old — donated a 'pile-of-pairs' to Hannah's Socks last week.

These children are special. When I was three, four or even five years old, I never thought about people who didn't have a home to call their own. I never thought about "street people" when I was in junior high, or high school. There's a new generation of young people among us, and I am so proud of all of them. Parents and educational leaders are doing a fantastic job showing these young minds the true meaning of caring for others.

Libbey from one of our partners, the Cocoon Shelter, is coming over today to pick up the socks. I know her organization appreciates our help, and in turn I appreciate the kids and adults who are working together to help the team at Hannah's Socks fulfill our mission.
