Thanks to YOU, all our wonderful supporters, We did it!
Our goal for 2011 was to collect 200,000 pairs of socks to help families in need in the Midwest, and we're happy to report we collected 205,076 pairs.
I can't thank enough the teachers, students, churches, businesses, neighbors, and friends from both near and far for helping us throughout the past year. We couldn't do it without you, and we mean it when we say Every Pair Counts.
2012 is here, and Hannah wants to be sure we warm even more feet and toes, so well be announcing our next sock goal very soon.

So many inspiring stories to share!
1) Hannah's Socks will be taking hand-knitted winter hats to give away in downtown Toledo, thanks to the yeoman effort of our friend Carolyn Thacker. Several neighborhood children have become her "little helpers," knitting dozens of hats. Many donations of yarn have aided this effort, most recently from Marge Wagner of Perrysburg. We thank all of the ladies who have brought us yarn, and taken part in 'paying it forward' to offer comfort to people. Thank you!
2) Businesses aren't the only ones helping Hannah's Socks. Our friend Penny from Perrysburg found dozens of socks at home that had never been worn, and gave them to us. That kind of thoughtfulness is one of her trademarks, and we appreciate it. Read more »

The Christmas season gives us many reasons to be thankful. Today, we sing the praises of The Andersons, a Toledo-area fixture for generations. Known for their commitment, their community foundation approved a wonderfully generous gift of $2,500 to Hannah's Socks!
Such generosity will allow us to buy lots of socks and winter gear, and it could not be more welcomed by the people who will benefit from their purposeful giving. Please visit www.andersonsstore.com or go to The Andersons Store on Facebook for more information. Merry Christmas from The Andersons and Hannah's Socks!

This holiday season, we thank Wal-Mart Stores. Through their Perrysburg location, we received $500 to help Hannah's Socks continue our mission of warming hearts and feet. This is, as their commercial says, one of the "good works" for which Wal-Mart is known. Visit www.walmart.com to learn more.
Hannah's Socks has some good in the works, too. Our 2011 goal is to collect 200,000 pairs, and with just under three weeks left, we need roughly 13,000 more pairs to make it. Will you help us reach our goal? Check out the "How You Can Help" section of our website, and click on a tab to learn more. Thank You, Wal-Mart -- and Happy Holidays to everyone!

Higher education goes beyond the classroom, and we are thankful to both Bowling Green State University and The University of Toledo. Dozens of people affiliated with both universities have taken part in Sock Drives and raised money for Hannah's Socks. Joely Giammarco, who chairs UT's Professional Staff Council; and Jane Dolby Clinard, BGSU admissions representative extraordinaire, deserve special mention for helping their respective communities take up the Hannah's Socks cause. Thank you and best wishes to both universities!

We are continually grateful to our friends at The Pharmacy Counter. All three Toledo-area locations have boxes to accept donations of new socks and winter-weather gear.
Hannah's Socks is always in need of adult socks, in addition to thermals, gloves, scarves, or ear muffs. Please help us warm the hearts and feet (and more) of people in need. Winter weather is approaching, and we are fielding more requests than ever. Thank you to Troy, Dennis, and The Pharmacy Counter. With help from wonderful supporters like you, Hannah's Socks has touched the lives of hundreds of families and individuals throughout the year by doing something very simple: Giving them a warm pair of socks.
Today, we're asking you to help with one last big push to hit our 2011 goal of collecting 200,000 pairs of socks! We need to bring in just 13,000 more pairs by the end of December to make it.
Every pair counts! Just add a pair of thick, warm socks to your cart the next time you're shopping, and leave your donation at one of our Drop-Off Points. Even better, you can engage your school, church or business in a Sock Drive.
