Casey Borella turned one year older this February, and Hannah's Socks added 78 pairs of socks to this year's count with her help!
Eight-year-old Casey's mom and dad had the brilliant idea of planning a sock scavenger hunt at the local mall for her birthday party. Each clue led to a children's store where the parents had pre-purchased pairs of socks for the teams to discover. Store managers were notified beforehand and were ready to hand over the socks to the excited kids who had solved the puzzles. Read more »

Hannah’s Story continues to spread across the country and inspire people to take action. Seven Disney Store employees in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Delaware have banded together via a program Walt himself started called "VoluntEARS". They work to support many charities, including the Ronald McDonald House and Relay for Life. Hannah’s Socks is privileged to be included in their efforts.
The group has collected 80 pairs of socks so far (as you see in the photo, many feature Disney characters that will certainly brighten the day of the kids who receive them). Their representative, Cynthia Kielbania, tells us that there are even more to come! Cynthia said in an email, "I think Hannah is a remarkable little girl. It is our pleasure to help you out any way we can."
A big Hannah "Thank you!" goes out to the kind VoluntEARS, and all those in their communities who so generously donated.
If you too have caught the spirit of Hannah’s Story and want to spread it in your area, please Contact Us. A pair of socks can make a real difference.

Five-year-old Kennedy Borcoman showed the Hannah spirit as she helped her dad, Tate, sort more than 150 donated pairs of socks and more then 60 other garments last week. This sorting effort was the result of generous donations from the patrons of the Ralph J. Stolle Countryside YMCA, where Hannah's Socks Board Member Tate is a patron. And there’s still time to provide little Kennedy with even more socks to sort!
If you live in the area and would like to add your valuable contribution to the Hannah’s Socks effort, Socks Box collection points remain at the YMCA in Lebanon, Ohio. The drop-off point is convenient and directions to it, as well as other drop-off points in your area, are available on our Find A Drop-Off Point page.
Thanks again to the warm-hearted folks at Ralph J. Stolle Countryside YMCA for making such a difference. Please visit them at their website www.countrysideymca.org.
